Honorable and Official Title · Colonel

In the "Old Days" during and after the American Revolution that began in 1775, the Honorable and Official Title, Colonel properly placed was one that denoted authority, empowerment, honor, leadership, and respect among all of America. Colonel was the leader of a colony managing it, or a company of people designated with a purpose or one that administered the common-laws among the colonists, there was always a need for a reliable chieftain. By 1776, the Colonels came together and wrote the Declaration of Independence making themselves collectively the sovereigns.

America's Founding Fathers were mostly Colonels who wrote the laws and created the government which held fewer positions than there were colonels which were relatively abundant and necessary throughout more than 1,000 named colonial settlements in 1776.

Colonels became governors, legislators, and colonial administrators in many roles across government adopting dozens of new professional government titles until the Constitution was finally written in 1787.
