A membership card is not required to be a Kentucky Colonel, although most likely a person with a current or expired membership card does not show that they know anything at all about Kentucky Colonelcy or is qualified to use the title Kentucky Colonel without understanding everything about the rights, privileges and responsibilities of the office of the colonelcy.
